The Wayfarers Chapel is nestled in a grove of redwood trees on several acres of landscaped gardens & lawns on
the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The all-glass church was designed by Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright) in 1950 and has a
breathtaking panoramic view of Abalone Cove, the Pacific Ocean, & Catalina Island. The harmony of glass, redwood trees, and stone
with the beauty of the natural surroundings is an ideal location for a wedding. Jane Mansfield (actress) was married here in 1958,
so was Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) & Dennis Hopper (actor).
Don Lee Hedges & Roberta Marie Eaid were married on April 5th 1963 at the Wayfarers Glass Chapel in Portuguese Bend, CA.
Valerie Maitland was the Maid of Honor & Nibs Greer was the Best Man. In attendance were 50 guests including Donald Lee & Leslie
Hedges.
