MAUI 2006 VACATION
We stayed seven days on Ka'anapali Beach on Maui in late-February 2006. The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel was the perfect location for us, with a short walk to the beach and shops & restaurants down the beachwalk. The staff was very friendly, the drinks were tasty, and the pineapple & papaya was fresh!
We took a Whale Watching trip on a catamaran and experienced 40-50 Humpback Whales as close as 5 feet from the boat!
Our hike into the Western Maui Mountains to see the Iao Valley rain forest preserve was awesome. We also hiked to Twin Falls and swam & jumped into the very cold waterfall pool.
The Maui Ocean Center was full of marine animals and the Maui Golf was fun too.
We couldn't miss out on the Hawaiian Luau with food, music, & traditional dancing.
Henna tatoos in Lahaina, swimming in the whale-shaped pool ... we all had an incredible time in Maui and can't wait to return!
